Our Participation at the CvSecuritisationDay 2025: An Opportunity for Discussion on Securitisation in Italy

The CvSecuritisationDay, organized by Credit Village and held on February 28, 2025, at Borsa Italiana in Milan, provided an important opportunity for discussion on the securitisation market in Italy, with significant international participation. The first Italian event entirely dedicated to this topic featured contributions from industry experts and financial institutions, addressing the prospects and developments of the securitisation market.

The event opened with an overview of market trends and a macroeconomic analysis that highlighted the gap between Europe and other global economies, such as the United States and China. It was emphasized how securitisation could play a key role in the creation of a “safe asset” for Europe and in fostering investments on the continent.

The two discussion sessions delved into various topics, including regulatory developments, opportunities for synthetic and NPE securitisations, and their impact on real estate, social, and green sectors. Special attention was given to the growing use of artificial intelligence, the integration of ESG factors, and the expansion of green and social securitisations.

Among other topics discussed, the important role of rating agencies in securitisation transactions emerged, with an analysis of valuation methodologies and the performance of transactions in recent years. Additionally, a view of the European securitisation market was provided, with particular focus on the investments made by the EIB Group, which has financed numerous transactions in various EU countries.

The event confirmed the growing relevance of securitisation as a strategic tool for the credit and capital markets, promoting a broad exchange of ideas and experiences among participants.
